David Seaman: 'I came very close to joining Manchester United'

Legendary Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman has admitted that he came "very close" to joining Manchester United during his career. The Rotherham-born stopper made the switch to Highbury from Queens Park Rangers in 1990 and remained with the Gunners for 13 years. Seaman is quoted by the Daily Star as saying: "Yes, I was very close [to joining Man Utd]. Before I went to Arsenal, I had the choice of Man United or Arsenal. "A little choice it was and I was living in London with my family and everything so that's why I chose Arsenal. I loved my time at Arsenal, there was never any question of me leaving.
