First look! AC Milan's proposed new stadium plans

AC Milan and Inter Milan's famous groundshare of the iconic San Siro stadium looks set to come to an end in the near future, as AC chiefs unveiled plans for a new standalone stadium for the Rossoneri. Estimated to be ready for the start of the 2018/19 season, the seven-time European champions are hoping to get the green light to start work on a new ground in the Portello region of the city, a project that is expected to cost around £240m. The stadium will hold around 49,000 fans – making it significantly smaller than the San Siro, which has been the club's home since 1926.
