Arsenal to launch £7m January bid for long-term striker target

Arsenal are to make a fresh bid for Dynamo Moscow forward Aleksandr Kokorin according to the Daily Mirror. Arsene Wenger attempted to sign the 24-year-old over the summer but failed to get the deal done before the transfer window slammed shut and will make a £7m bid when it reopens. A move for Kokorin is perhaps more realistic than oft-cited interest in the likes of Real Madrid's Karim Benzema and PSG forward Edinson Cavani, especially given the good form shown in recent weeks by those in Wenger's armoury.
