Arsenal teen sent home early from loan after failing to impress

Dan Crowley was once the brightest young talent in the Arsenal youth ranks, and was touted as the ‘next Jack Wilshere' (via the Daily Star). He looks to have really fallen from grace though, and has been sent home early from his loan spell at Barnsley after failing to impress the coaching staff there, according to the Daily Mail. Barnsley are currently in League One, so are some step down from Arsenal. The fact that Crowley made so little impact at a club of their size means he is far from close to making the step up at the Emirates, which is a real shame.
