Gabriel gets late Brazil call up

According to Sambafoot.com, Gabriel has been called up by Brazil for their upcoming World Cup 2018 qualifiers with Argentina and Peru. The centre-back hadn't initially been included in Dunga's squad for the Interlull double-header, however, after injuries to both PSG's Marquinhos and Real Madrid's Marcelo, the Arsenal man and Atletico Mineiro's Douglas Santos (seemingly the John Smith of Brazilian names) have been given the nod. Brazil play Argentina in Buenos Aires on 12 November and then host Peru at five days later. So a fair bit of travelling for Gabriel…just when it looked as though he might get a rest.
