Patrick Vieira appointed New York City FC head coach

Patrick Vieira has been appointed head coach of New York City FC, the club announced on Monday. The former Arsenal and France star has signed a three-year contract to replace the sacked Jason Kreis at the helm of the second-year expansion team and will take over on 1 January, the team said.
