Bellerin picks up gong in Barcelona

Hector Bellerin's rapid rise to prominence has been recognised by the Catalan Football Federation as he picked up their Young Player of the Year award in a landslide victory. The 20-year-old right-back, who is currently sidelined with a groin problem, picked up the award in Barcelona last night with reports suggesting he made it back to London inside 7 minutes after a gentle jog home. Bellerin snaffled an impressive 57% of the votes beating Espanyol keeper Pau Lopez and Lazio forward Keita Balde into second and third respectively.
