Arsenal hoping to beat Bayern Munich to Barcelona starlet Alex Grimaldo

Arsenal and Bayern Munich are believed to be keeping tabs on young Barcelona second team captain Alex Grimaldo, according to the Daily Mirror. The left-back is being touted as one of the most exciting defenders to emerge over the last year, but at 20 he feels that he is ready to play first team football on a more regular basis (via Mirror). Barcelona's B team were relegated from the Spanish Segunda division last season, meaning the Valencia-born starlet is now having to ply his trade in the third tier of Spanish football (via Mirror).
