Cech would rather not wear protective helmet

Petr Cech has admitted he would rather not wear the protective helmet he has needed for the last nine years as it sometimes leaves him feeling 'completely lost'. Cech has had to wear a helmet since sustaining a serious head injury as a result of a challenge from Reading's Nicky Hunt back in 2006 while playing for Chelsea. Discussing the headwear with media in his native Czech Republic, Cech admits he would rather not wear the helmet, and that there are times, such as this season's 0-0 draw with Liverpool, where it leaves him feeling 'completely lost' as it distorts his hearing.
