Arsenal and Chelsea could face devastating FIFA transfer ban
Arsenal and Chelsea could face sanctions from FIFA in the shape of transfer bans, according to the Metro. The London rivals are among a number of ‘top European clubs’ who could face punishment due to their conduct when signing players under the age of 18 years. Real Madrid and city rivals Atletico Madrid are reportedly also guilty of the same practice, as fellow La Liga giants Barcelona near the end of their own ban. The Blaugrana were hit with a two year ban in 2014, unable to register signings such as Arda Turn and Alex Vidal until this coming January.
