Reading target Arsenal legend as shock new manager

Dennis Bergkamp has emerged as a shock candidate for the vacant manager's role at Championship club Reading, according to the Daily Mirror. The Arsenal legend is reportedly being weighed up as a viable option to take the reins at Reading after Steve Clarke was dismissed amid a run of poor results. The Royals are believed to be keen on landing a big name manager to bring to the Madejski Stadium and have run the rule over the Dutchman before. It is understood that the decision makers at the club considered the 46-year old last year when they decided to sack Nigel Adkins, though Clarke was ultimately given the role.
