Wenger labels Arsenal win psychologically important

Arsene Wenger has talked up the potential mental significance of Arsenal ending their winless Premier League run against Sunderland. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger felt Saturday's 3-1 victory over Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium represented a "very, very important win" after a difficult few weeks for the club. Wenger's men ended a run of three Premier League games without victory despite a below-par display against Sam Allardyce's side in North London. Joel Campbell, Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey were all on target to ensure Giroud's own-goal mattered little as Arsenal moved second in the absence of Alexis Sanchez and Santi Cazorla.
