Arsenal enter negotiations with Barcelona target ahead of January window opening

GETTY TARGET: Nolito has been on Arsenal's radar for a while Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo claims Arsenal have entered negotiations to do a deal in January, with Arsene Wenger desperate to bolster his injury-hit squad. The Gunners have been monitoring Nolito since the summer, but feared they would miss out on the Spanish star to Barcelona, who had him on their books as a youngster. But Barca are apparently unwilling to meet Nolito's £15 million price tag this winter, paving the way for Arsenal to do a deal.
