Half-Time Report: Olivier Giroud goal gives Arsenal lead at Olympiacos

Getty Images Despite their need to take three points in Greece, Arsenal made a slow start to the match, as Seba blazed an early chance over the bar for the hosts. Olympiacos continued to control the first half - Seba fired high and wide from distance, before former Fulham midfielder Pajtim Kasami missed the target. The Gunners improved as the half went on, and came close to taking the lead on 25 minutes when Mathieu Flamini struck the crossbar, while Olivier Giroud was denied by Olympiacos keeper Roberto from a header.
