Wilshere has ‘no chance' of December comeback

It was hoped that Jack Wilshere's return from ankle surgery would see him return in time for the busy festive period, but Arsene Wenger put paid that today, saying the England man won't be back until some time in the new year. Speaking at his press conference today, the Arsenal manager said, 'If you ask me if he will be fit before the end of December, no chance.' Wilshere was injured on the eve of the Community Shield after a training ground challenge, and has yet to kick a ball in anger after undergoing an operation.
