Arsenal Move Was Close – Atletico Madrid Defender Stefan Savic

It has been revealed that Atletico Madrid defender Stefan Savic has spoken of missing out on a move to Arsenal. The Montenegro international, who was part of Manchester City's title-winning team in 2011/12, had a trial at Arsenal back in 2010. He was reportedly on the verge of signing for Arsene Wenger's side, although the move did not go through in the end. When asked about the experience, he told AS: “I was very young. At the age of 17, I went there for a two-week trial. I think I did well, I was happy at the end of it, I do not know why I did not sign in the end.
