Wenger confirms Welbeck setback

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Danny Welbeck's injury problems are ongoing and that the forward won't be returning to action in January as planned. The England international has been out since April with bone bruising on his knee, and underwent surgery in September to help fix the problem. Unfortunately it seems there's still some way go, and that the issue remains one of concern to the Arsenal medical staff. 'Unfortunately he was injured at the end of April,' said Wenger, 'and we are now at the end of December and he is still not available because of a bone bruising.
