Arsenal eyeing Barcelona starlet in £4.4m steal
Arsene Wenger is showing plenty of eagerness to start the January transfer window. With a deal already believed to be in place for one midfielder, Wenger is readying a bid for Barcelona youngster Sergi Samper to continue filling the gaping holes at the Arsenal midfield. According to the Metro, Arsenal are closing in on a deal for the 20-year-old midfielder in a deal worth about £4.4 million. Samper has yet to debut for Barcelona in La Liga but has made a handful of appearances for the club in the Copa Del Ray and Europe. He has played the majority of his football career with Barcelona B.
