Arsenal transfer news: £8m International defender opens talks on January move

Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy appears to be edging closer to the exit door after opening talks with AS Roma. According to the Mirror, the French full-back spoke to Arsene Wenger about securing a move away from the club in the January transfer window. Debuchy has struggled for game time this season, partly due to injury and partly because of the immense form of youngster Hector Bellerin, and is concerned that sustained inactivity will affect his chances of representing France at the European Championships next summer. The former Newcastle United man wasn't named in the France squad for Les Bleus' November friendlies and faces competition from the likes of Christophe Jallet, Loic Perrin...
