Liverpool open £45m transfer talks for Real Madrid & Arsenal target

According to reports in Italy, Liverpool are keen on signing Juventus hitman Alvaro Morata. The striker is enduring something of a miserable campaign in Serie A, where he has managed only one goal in 18 outings, and has found himself behind Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala in the pecking order in Turin, despite the summer exits of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente. According to Gazzetta World, Liverpool are not discouraged by the forward's paucity of goals, and have opened talks with Juve over a £45 million transfer.
