Van Gaal Laughs Off Talk Of Signing Ex-Arsenal Fullback Cole
It has been revealed that Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has laughed off talk of signing Ashley Cole. The ex-Arsenal and Chelsea left-back has been linked with United since his release from Roma. After United's woefully disappointing 1-0 defeat to Southampton on Saturday, Van Gaal was questioned over a possible transfer for Cole. He snapped back at the journalist, insisting ‘he didn't play for a year' and then slapped the man twice on the cheek. Van Gaal's actions, however, were clearly in jest.
