Arsenal table £10m bid for Serie A hotshot

Arsenal are believed to be on the trail of Roma youngster Umar Sadiq, with Italian paper La Repubblica claiming the Gunners have already made a bid in excess of £10 million for the striker. The Gunners have been accused of lacking a potent striker that can fire them to the title in recent years, with a section of the Emirates Stadium faithful imploring Arsene Wenger to bolster his options in the centre forward position. Sadiq has emerged at the Italian capital city club this season and scored two goals in six Serie A outings for the title-chasing outfit.
