Mesut Ozil went close in the early exchanges but it was the home side who proved more clinical. Laurent Koscielny lost the ball on the halfway line and Luis Suarez slipped in Neymar who provided a fine finish after only 18 minutes. Needing three goals to avoid crashing out, Arsenal were further liberated and made much running in the sopping wet conditions at the Nou Camp.
