Arsenal's Isaac Hayden withdraws from England Under-21 squad

Arsenal defender Isaac Hayden has withdrawn from England's Under-21 squad for their European Championship qualifier against Switzerland. The 21-year-old, who is currently on loan at Hull City, has pulled out due to injury, although the type of problem has not been specified. Gareth Southgate's side are currently top of their group having picked up 10 points from a possible 12 so far and travel to Thun to take on Switzerland on Saturday. "The player, who remained with his club for ongoing assessment on an injury, has not made sufficient progress," read a statement from the FA.
