Özil demanding £200k per week to extend Arsenal contract

There have been talks of a new contract for Mesut Özil over the last few months, with his current deal set to expire in 2018. He's apparently holding out for £200,000 per week though, which Arsene Wenger is not keen on paying, according to Squawka‘s Greg Stobart (via the Metro). Özil has been in fine form this season, with his displays during the first half of the campaign particularly impressive. His massive assist numbers have been a key part of the limited success we've had this season, and tying him down to a new contract is hugely important.
