Arsenal eying Dortmund alternative after setback

Arsenal may turn to Dortmund defender Neven Subotic after reportedly dropping their interest in his teammate Mats Hummels, according to the Daily Express. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is thought to be in the market for defensive reinforcements after seeing his two main centre-backs, Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker, suffer with injuries this term. The Express claim Wenger is prepared to pass up the chance sign Hummels in the summer, which would hand rivals Manchester United the advantage in the race for his signature.
