Manuel Pellegrini optimistic of James Milner stay

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is optimistic that James Milner will remain with the club beyond when his contract expires in the summer. The England international has been locked in negotiations with the Citizens over a new deal for the majority of the season, but the two parties have yet to come to an agreement. Roma, Liverpool and Arsenal have all been linked with a move for the 29-year-old, leaving him to mull his options, but Pellegrini is hopeful that the Sky Blues can lure him to stay at the Etihad Stadium.
