Manchester United 'turn down chance to sign Jamie Vardy'

Manchester United have turned down the chance to sign Jamie Vardy from Leicester City this summer, according to reports. Vardy was named the FWA Footballer of the Year and Premier League Player of the Year last season after scoring 24 goals to fire the Foxes to their first ever top-flight title. The 29-year-old has previously insisted that he is happy to stay at the club, although reports emerged earlier today claiming that Arsenal have triggered a £20m release clause in his contract.
