Arsenal 'considering offering manager Arsene Wenger a new contract'

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to offer manager Arsene Wenger a new contract in order to prevent him from becoming the next England boss. The Frenchman currently has one year remaining on his deal at the Emirates, and has reiterated numerous times that he intends to see it out. The Football Association, though, is believed to be considering Wenger as a replacement for Roy Hodgson, who quit his post on Monday night following England's humiliating last-16 exit at Euro 2016.
