Arsenal deal for in-demand Frenchman reportedly on the rocks

Rumours over the future of Alexander Lacazette have persisted over the last few months, and last night it appeared as if Arsenal were going to be the side to capture the elusive Frenchman. The Telegraph broke the story last night and stated that Arsenal were willing to pay the reported £34 million release clause in the contract of Lacazette. Details over the transfer have come to a screeching halt this morning, with a number of outlets now rejecting this suggestion; instead stating that he does not have a release clause in his contract.
