Arsenal enter race for Lille defender
Arsenal have entered the race for Lille defender Djibril Sidibe according to the L'equipe. The report claims that the Gunners have expressed an interest in the 23-year-old defender over the last 48 hours. The same report also states that Monaco were close to agreeing a transfer for the Lille defender. Arsenal's move is reported to have complicated the deal Monaco had in place and that the Gunners could end up beating the Ligue 1 side for the signature of the France U-21 player. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is reported to have made the transfer of Sidibe a priority as the North London based outfit look to strengthen defensively over these summer.
