Who should be the next Arsenal captain?

With the start of the new season just a few weeks away, Arsenal are still without an official club captain. We have taken a look at the pros and cons of some of the top candidates. Per Mertesacker He’s vastly experienced and was expected to be given the armband but the German has been ruled out for five months following his knee injury. In order to avoid the same situation as Mikel Arteta, Arsenal should appoint a captain who will actually play every match.
