Arsenal Boss Wenger Admits Trying For Robert Lewandowski

Reports have emerged claiming that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger made an attempt this summer for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski. The Sun reported that Wenger made a move for Bayern ace Lewandowski, but could not match his huge wage demands. The Gunners chief wanted to bring in a proven world class forward before deciding to sign Lucas Perez for £17.1m from Deportivo La Coruna. Polish star Lewandowski is now expected to sign a new long-term deal with the German giants.
