Euro club confirm talks for Arsenal transfer

GETTY Per Mertesacker is yet to feature this season through injury Following the arrival of Shkodran Mustafi at Arsenal, Mertesacker is not guaranteed to be first choice at the Emirates.  The 32-year-old, who is out of contract next summer, revealed this week he was open to a return to Germany at the end of the season. Hannover then expressed an interest in bringing the former Germany international back to his first club.
