Jack Wilshere on Arsenal exit: This is the conversation I had with Arsene Wenger

The England international completed a move to the Cherries on deadline day after falling down the pecking order under Arsene Wenger. Wilshere managed just 141 minutes of Premier League football last year through injury and had been struggling for game time at the Gunners at the beginning of this season. The 24-year-old was keen to leave Arsenal in order to get more games under his belt - and he wasn’t afraid to tell Wenger that he had to leave. He admits Wenger tried to convince him to stay, but ultimately the French boss couldn’t offer him a regular starting role.
