Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has admitted he has endured the worst start to a season in his career this year, having started just one game for the Gunners so far this campaign. The France international was given extra time off over the summer by manager Arsene Wenger after his exploits at Euro 2016 meaning he started the season later than some of his team-mates. The striker has also struggled with a toe injury which has disrupted his season and in his absence Alexis Sanchez has shone in a central role, scoring eight goals already this season.
