Arsenal's Per Mertesacker hails successful rehabilitation on knee injury

Paul Mariner and Alexis Nunes sift through the latest rumours surrounding Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud and Marouane Fellaini. Arsenal captain Per Mertesacker has said rehabilitation on his knee "couldn't have gone better" as he continues his recovery from injury. Mertesacker, 32, was appointed new Gunners skipper in the summer but has yet to make an appearance this term after suffering a knee injury in preseason. The former Germany international visited his homeland last week to step up his return to fitness, and he said on Twitter that the trip has proved to be a success. Rehab couldn't of gone better but now all packed and ready to come back home to the team! #ReturnOfTheBFG...
