Rooney Expected To Be Fit For Arsenal Clash

Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney is expected to be fit for Saturday’s clash with Arsenal at Old Trafford on Saturday, according to Sky Sports. The forward was forced out of England’s friendly with Spain on Tuesday after picking up a knee problem that left him a doubt for the game against the Gunners. Rooney reportedly had a scan to determine the severity of the problem which was found to be only a slight knee issue and is expected to be in contention for a starting spot. The news will bring some relief to Jose Mourinho who is already without a host of players for the game against Arsene Wenger’s side.
