Watch Arsenal Star Break Guinness World Record
Theo Walcott has become a Guinness world record holder after setting a new mark for the highest altitude a football is dropped and controlled. The England international attempted the record alongside team-mates Laurent Koscielny, Francis Coquelin and Nacho Monreal as part of a Betfair Cash Out Ultimate Control Challenge. While his team-mates struggled with the task the England international managed it and broke the previous record of 32m with a new best of 34m. To qualify as a successful attempt the player had to control the ball by keeping it off the ground for five touches and Walcott managed it from a ball dropped from a crane, as you can see in the video below.
