Iwobi Named African Youth Player of the Year

Alex Iwobi has been named the Youth Player of the Year at the annual Confederation of African Football awards. The Nigeria international enjoyed a stunning year in 2016, forcing his way into the Arsenal first-team as well as making the breakthrough at international level. Iwobi has been a virtual ever-present for the Gunners this season, scoring three times, including the second in Arsenal's 2-0 win over Crystal Palace on New Year's Day.
