Result: Liverpool go third with win over Arsenal
Liverpool have returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Arsenal at Anfield, a result which takes the Merseyside giants into third place in the Premier League table. Goals from Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane put Liverpool on their way before a late third from Georginio Wijnaldum wrapped up the points in style. Liverpool had been second best throughout their defeat to Leicester City on Monday night, but Jurgen Klopp's side were positive from the opening whistle against Arsenal and deservedly went in front after nine minutes.
