Kolo Toure - who has played for both sides in his career - is backing Manchester City to beat Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final.

Kolo Toure believes Manchester City’s ‘amazing’ brand of football will see them beat Arsenal in this weekend’s Carabao Cup final at Wembley.

City and Arsenal - two of Toure's former clubs - head into the first major cup final of the season, live on Sky Sports Football, off the back of surprise defeats in midweek.

Pep Guardiola's side were knocked out of the FA Cup at League One Wigan, while Arsenal reached the Europa League last 16 after a 4-2 aggregate win over Ostersunds despite a 2-1 second leg loss at home to the Swedish minnows on Thursday night.

The League Cup is the only domestic trophy to have eluded Arsene Wenger during his reign as Arsenal manager, and Toure believes expects the club's 25-year League Cup drought to continue.

"Both teams play great football," Toure told Sky Sports News.

"Arsenal have a lot of experience of playing finals - this is the thing, but [if you ask me who I think is going to win] I will go for City.

"City at the moment are playing the best football in the league right now, even in Europe they are playing amazing football. If they play with the same performance level they are used to, there is no drama [for them] for sure."
