Team News: Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang paired together

Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are both handed starts as Arsenal take on Newcastle United.

Arsene Wenger has included Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in Arsenal's starting lineup for this afternoon's Premier League meeting with Newcastle United.

There is also a top-flight debut for young midfielder Joe Willock, who comes in as one of six changes from the 2-2 draw with CSKA Moscow on Thursday evening.

Calum Chambers and Rob Holding replace Hector Bellerin and Laurent Koscielny in the backline at St James' Park, while Granit Xhaka has recovered from illness to feature from the off.

The other player to return from the draw in Russia is winger Alex Iwobi, with Mesut Ozil, Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey all missing out entirely.

Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez has once again gone with an unchanged XI, meanwhile, meaning a start up top for Dwight Gayle, just off attacking midfielder Ayoze Perez.

There is also a place among the subs for Islam Slimani after being ineligible to feature against parent club Leicester City last weekend.

The Magpies have lost their last 10 league games against Arsenal.

Newcastle United: Dubravka; Yedlin, Lascelles, Lejeune, Dummett; Kenedy, Shelvey, Diame, Ritchie; Perez; Gayle
Subs: Darlow, Clark, Murphy, Slimani, Hayden, Manquillo, Joselu

Arsenal: Cech; Chambers, Mustafi, Holding, Monreal; Elneny, Willock, Xhaka; Iwobi, Aubameyang; Lacazette
Subs: Ospina, Mertesacker, Welbeck, Maitland-Niles, Kolasinac, Nelson, Nketiah
