Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says Mohamed Elneny only has a small chance of returning before the end of the season but should be fit in time for the World Cup.
Elneny was carried off on a stretcher on the stroke of half-time during Sunday's 4-1 win over West Ham and has suffered an ankle ligament injury.
He will definitely be absent for the Europa League semi-final against Atletico Madrid, which gets underway at the Emirates on Thursday.
Arsenal's final Premier League game of the campaign is away to Huddersfield on May 13 - and they then hope to be playing in the Europa League final on May 16.
Wenger said: "Elneny has a little, little chance to play at Huddersfield.
"I think he will be available for Egypt at the World Cup but not anymore for Arsenal."
Mesut Ozil, Petr Cech and Jack Wilshere were all able to train on Wednesday ahead of the first leg against Atletico.
The trio, as well as full-back Sead Kolasinac, missed Sunday's win with minor complaints, but all were part of the squad working at London Colney.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be on the sidelines on Thursday but could feature in the second leg in Madrid next week, having trained away from the group on Wednesday.
