Premier League Team of the Week - Eden Hazard, David de Gea, Marko Arnautovic

Sports Mole selects its Premier League team of the week for matchday five, including hat-trick hero Eden Hazard, David de Gea and Marko Arnautovic.

There is a new Premier League leader after gameweek five, as Chelsea leapfrogged Liverpool at the top of the table despite both sides maintaining their perfect starts to the season.

Liverpool kicked things off with a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur which should have been a lot more comfortable than the scoreline suggests, but Chelsea now lead the way on goal difference having come from behind to beat Cardiff City 4-1 at Stamford Bridge.

Manchester City are the only other remaining unbeaten team courtesy of their comfortable 3-0 win over Fulham, while Manchester United and Arsenal were both victorious away from home.

West Ham United finally picked up their first points of the season with an impressive 3-1 win at Everton, and Bournemouth also registered a notable result by beating Leicester City 4-2.

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Crystal Palace also won, while the gameweek came to a close with Brighton & Hove Albion coming from two goals down to draw with Southampton on Monday night.

Here, Sports Mole selects its team of the weekend from all 10 of the Premier League matches.

It was a good weekend for goalkeepers, with Joe Hart, Lukasz Fabianski, Asmir Begovic and Ben Foster all making a string of saves, while even Michel Vorm impressed aside from his two costly errors against Liverpool. David de Gea gets the gloves for the first time this season, though, having saved four shots on target from Watford, including a vital stop right at the death.

De Gea is joined in the side by United teammate Chris Smalling, who was again not entirely convincing at the back but ultimately proved to be the match-winner with a brilliantly-taken volley. Shane Duffy was also on the scoresheet for Brighton and won more aerial duels than any other player on the pitch against Southampton, earning him a place ahead of the likes of Aymeric Laporte, Willy Boly, Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.

Wolverhampton Wanderers full-back Matt Doherty was a constant threat in the opposition half as he registered an assist and a clean sheet during the win over Burnley, which sees him pip Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Cesar Azpilicueta to a place in the team, while on the opposite flank Fabian Delph holds off competition from Doherty's Wolves teammate Jonny Castro.

Bernardo Silva was the man of the match from Man City's comfortable win over Fulham, pulling the strings throughout and beating teammate David Silva to a place in this XI. Fernandinho was also a candidate for the team, but Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's performance against Brighton was capped by a stunning strike, enough to land him a place ahead of Marouane Fellaini and Granit Xhaka.

One of the standout performers of the entire weekend was Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser, who continued his fine start to the season with two goals and an assist against Leicester. James Milner, Mesut Ozil and James Maddison all impressed, but not enough to seriously challenge Fraser for a place in the team.

The one automatic pick this week was Chelsea's Eden Hazard, whose hat-trick put the Blues back in control of the game against Cardiff and took him to the top of the Premier League's goalscoring charts. The likes of Raheem Sterling, the recalled Leroy Sane and Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha compete for a place alongside Hazard, but the other two forward positions go to West Ham players.

Andriy Yarmolenko marked his first start for the club with two very well-taken goals, but it was Marko Arnautovic who was arguably the star of the show at Goodison, registering a goal and assist of his own. Honourable mentions should also go to Joshua King, Olivier Giroud and Roberto Firmino.
