Wasting money in a league as competitive as the Premier League is no small mistake.

Over the years, many clubs have put their financial resources to poor use, resulting in terribly ineffective transfers.

This season, however, there have been a number of impressive summer signings who have had an immediately great start to life in their new clubs – both on and off the pitch.

In no particular order, here are three of the best summer signings who have shone for their new clubs in the Premier League.

#1 Lucas Torreira for Arsenal

The Uruguayan midfielder signed from Sampdoria and immediately made a positive impact on the club.

Torreira has consistently provided defensive protection for Arsenal in the middle of the park and has been a rock for the London side at just 22 years of age.

The impressive youngster has adapted well to the fast pace of the English Premier League and has been influential in winning the ball back for Unai Emery’s men.

At just 21-years-old, it seems as if Richarlison has been in the Premier League for ages.

The young Brazilian was impressive during his career at Watford. However, his talents have ascended to new heights during his brief spell at Everton.

Richarlison’s unbelievable run of form has seen him score 6 goals in his first 10 appearances for Everton.

For many years, Liverpool have struggled to solidify their defence – especially between the sticks.

The answer to the Reds’ defensive nightmares came with the acquisition of former Roma goalkeeper Alisson, who has also aided the side in their ability to play out from the back with his distribution.

Liverpool are currently level with league leaders Manchester City in terms of the number of goals conceded – an impressively low 5.

Have any of these players been standout performers in the Premier League for you this season? Is there a name mentioned here that you disagree with?
