What's the story?

In a piece of news that just broke out on Arsenal.com, the Gunners have been handed multiple injury boost ahead of the game against West Ham at the weekend.

Hector Bellerin, Mesut Ozil, Dinos Mavropanos, Shkodran Mustafi, Nacho Monreal, and Laurent Koscielny have resumed full training.

In case you didn't know...

The club has been battling with a series of first-team regulars out with injuries. Ahead of the game at Blackpool, the club had a lot of injury concerns.

Mesut Ozil was said to be out with a knee injury and was being assessed. The same was said of the likes of Shkodran Mustafi and Nacho Monreal, with both out with hamstring injuries.

Hector Bellerin has been out with a left calf problem while Dinos Mavropanos has been out with a groin injury since last season.

Other injury casualties include Smith Rowe, who is expected to return to full training in two weeks. Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who is suffering from a fractured metatarsal, would not resume full training until February.

Rob Holding and Danny Welbeck have gone under the surgeon's knife and may likely not play this season.

The heart of the matter

The news is that six first-team players are back in reckoning for being selected ahead of the game against West Ham and subsequent games, especially at this crucial period of time. After an unbeaten run of 22 games in all competitions this season, the Gunners have lost a bit of steam in the past few weeks.

What's next?

Arsenal plays West Ham at the Olympic Stadium on Saturday in the early kick-off. They have a couple of tough games coming up in the subsequent weeks when they host Chelsea and Manchester United in the Premier League and FA Cup respectively.
