Arsenal transform Willow Foundation charity shop

We took over the Willow Foundation’s Welwyn Garden City shop on Friday, May 17.

Our retail team donated a huge selection of Arsenal-branded clothing and merchandise to be sold in the charity shop.

Experts from the Arsenal retail team also volunteered to help transform the store and a signed first-team shirt was donated to help raise funds.

Former Arsenal goalkeeper and Willow co-founder Bob Wilson officially opened the store and stayed to meet fans and sign items.

“The support from Arsenal and The Arsenal Foundation is phenomenal,” explained Wilson.

“They have donated an amazing amount of stock which, for a charity of our size, is a really big boost. Not just in terms of people coming into the shop and buying things, but also for our staff.

“The hope is that this stock will eventually translate into a special day for a young adult and provide something pleasant for them to enjoy.”

The Willow Foundation was established in 1999 by Arsenal legend Bob Wilson and his wife Megs following the loss of their daughter Anna to cancer.

Willow offers special days and experiences for seriously ill young adults aged 16-40, and all of the money raised from this event will go towards supporting that.
