Arsenal, Manchester United target Yannick Carrasco wants Premier League move

Yannick Carrasco - previously linked with Manchester United and Arsenal - reveals that he wants to leave Dalian Yifang this summer.

Yannick Carrasco has placed Arsenal and Manchester United on alert by revealing that he would be interested in a move to the Premier League in this summer's transfer window.

The 25-year-old started his professional career with Monaco before moving to Atletico Madrid, spending three years with the Spanish club ahead of a switch to the Chinese Super League last February.

Carrasco has scored 14 times in 35 appearances for Dalian Yifang, but has revealed that he wants to return to Europe this summer, with a switch to England of particular interest.

"There was interest from Arsenal and I had a lot of teams in January giving me the chance to go back to Europe, but here the president said it was difficult to go then," The Sun quotes Carrasco as saying.

"Maybe this summer it is possible. If it is a good thing and I want to go, maybe I can speak with the president. All that you want is to be close to your family, and to go back to Europe is a good solution.

"I'm OK here, the club is good with me, the players and fans also are nice with me. But you know, when you are far from your family, and I think I can do good things in the European game, I am thinking it's a solution if I can go back.

"With the national team I play as a winger, but also I can play in behind. England would be a good competition for me. I think I would be OK. If I have the opportunity to go to England, why not?"

Carrasco, who has scored seven times in nine appearances for Dalian Yifang during the current Chinese Super League campaign, has also represented Belgium on 35 occasions since his international debut in 2015.
