Liverpool and Arsenal contact Lyon to discuss a potential move for Moussa Dembele, according to a report.

Liverpool and Arsenal have both reportedly contacted Lyon to discuss a potential move for French forward Moussa Dembele in this summer's transfer window.

The 22-year-old joined Lyon from Celtic last summer and scored 20 times in 45 appearances for Les Gones during the 2018-19 campaign.

Manchester United have been strongly linked with a move for the centre-forward, who struck 51 goals in 94 games in Scotland before switching to Ligue 1.

However, according to L'Equipe, United face serious domestic competition, with both Liverpool and Arsenal approaching Lyon to discuss a switch for Dembele.

All three of the English clubs are believed to be in the market for a new forward this summer, although United's interest could depend on whether Romelu Lukaku leaves Old Trafford.
